As part of the WPP group, the Active Display Group was responsible for designing, manufacturing, distributing & installing point-of-sale materials for retail brands.

A multi-carrier system to deliver to retailers Australia wide

Active Display Group were transforming their logistics processes and upgrading systems and needed a Freight Management System to integrate into Dynamics 365, and DotWMS with the flexibility to automatically ship consignments of all shapes and sizes to retailers all over Australia.

An Integrated Freight Management System

FreightExchange were engaged to automate the end-to-end “order to delivery” processes including:

  • Advanced carrier selection rules
  • Consolidating shipments, lowering the costs of managing inter-branch transfers
  • Integrating into warehouse, inventory and ERP systems for seamless data transfers
  • Real-time reporting on DIFOT, volumes & spend giving 100% visibility of goods in transit
  • Identifying and recouping cost overruns with more automated invoice reconciliation processes

Freight & Labour Cost Savings

The Active Display Group were able to:

  • Reduce freight and labour costs across all four sites by ensuring orders were always allocated to the right carrier
  • Lower the costs of managing inter-branch transfers due to better load consolidation processes
  • Integrate all warehouse, inventory and ERP systems for seamless data transfers
  • Achieve 100% visibility of goods in transit through detailed DIFOT, volumes & spend reporting
  • Recoup carrier overcharges from the automated invoice reconciliation processes
